Busy Times

I've been really busy as of late with homework, work, and friends. Art's been finding it's place here and there, but it should have a more permanent fixture in my life. I'm working on inputing more time for creating into my schedule. I bought a set of soft pastels, so i'm currently using those. figured i'd broaden my horizons when it comes to the materials i use. plus, it's a nice change from black and white graphite i'd used for a present for a good friend, or the colored pencils i used for a gift for another. i'll definitely be painting True Artist sometime soon, but the flowers have yet to bloom. but that's no excuse. I'll get it done. Foxy Lady is still tucked away in my closet, as it has been since may. it's a shame really, because i'd only be lying to myself if i said i'd get to working on it soon. maybe eventually i'll continue it. hopefully.

Thank you for adding me to your watch list, Mark. You have some serious talent, young man. I know how life can get so busy and that artwork can get shoved aside. Mine got shoved aside for darn near 40 years and now I wonder where I could have gone with my art had I pursued it when I was younger. Of course, I raised 4 wonderful children and was always busy. Even if you can fit in 10 minutes, I highly suggest you do some artwork EVERY DAY. I look forward to seeing your progress. And by all means, try lots of different mediums. Its very fulfilling.

thank you. i really appreciate the thought out comment. it means a lot and i'll commit it to memory. yea, i've been trying my hand at pastels and oil paints recently. getting a better feel for various mediums. it can get pretty tricky trying to fit in art everyday. but i try
